Justin Trudeau's ex-wife makes telling admission about Katy Perry
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau relationship 'triggers' his ex-wife
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s budding romance is not so easy on his ex-wife, Sophie Gregoire, who still has a working co-parenting relationship with him.
The 41-year-old pop star has been frequently spotted on dates with Justin, 53, and Sophie opened up about how their relationship affects her.
The motivational speaker, 50, admitted that “We’re human beings and stuff affects us,” on the Arlene is Alone podcast after host Arelene Dickinson asked if she is bothered by “the publicness of what Justin is doing.”
Sophie continued, “How you react to stuff is your decision. So I choose to try to listen to the music instead of the noise.”
The mom of three, who shares sons Xavier, 18, and Hadrien, 11, and daughter, Ella-Grace, 16, maintained that she continues to shift her focus on her own life, and values.
“I’m very aware that a lot of public stuff out there can be triggers. The woman I become through this is my decision,” she said.
Speaking on where she currently stands with the former prime minister, Sophie told the host, “We have separate lives, but we have one family life. You need a common, conscious decision of, ‘Our family is our greatest creation and we’re going to feed it together, no matter if we’re on different life paths.’ It’s not always easy to live, but it’s very adult.”
The now-ex spouses separated after 18 years of marriage together and announced their split through an Instagram post.
