Glen Powell says 'The Running Man' is appropriate for 'modern world'
Glen Powell opens how his new film may leave people to think
Glen Powell has shared his take about the newly released film, The Running Man.
According to the Top Gun: Maverick star, the sci-fi adventure is thought provoking and very suitable for the modern world.
"When you take on a story that is this epic and also, this timely, there's a lot to pull from.”
Powell is playing the role of Ben Richards in Edgar Wright’s directorial based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name.
He explained, "Not only is Ben Richards fighting for his family which I can understand. I'm very close to my family, I'd do anything for them.”
The Twisters actor suggested that there was a lot to play in the film taking from commentary of reality TV to how we engage with the news and fact and fiction.
"I also think just the commentary of reality TV sort of the TikTok-ification of our world and how we engage with the news and fact and fiction and all of those things, there's just a lot to play with", he explained to HeyUGuys.com
According to Glen, there are less movies that leave audience to think and this film really does that.
Backed by Paramount Pictures, the action thriller also featured Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, Emilia Jones, and Lee Pace.
