Simu Liu opens up about his feelings on starring in 'Avengers: Doomsday'
'Avengers: Doomsday' is set to release on December 18, 2026
Simu Liu rose to prominence after playing a key role in MCU’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
He has been forever grateful for the character as it gave him a major career break.
Four years have been passed since the release of the film; he reveals that the star cast still is in active contact with each other.
He told PEOPLE, “I would say the Shang-Chi group text is still very active just because it was such a unique experience, what we went through.”
The 36-year-old will be reprising the role in the upcoming Avengers film. While describing his emotions over returning to Marvel, Liu said that he will forever remember the scale and hugeness of Avengers: Doomsday.
He stated, “So is something like [Avengers: Doomsday], which is just a gargantuan production, and the scale and the bigness of it is something that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”
Simu continued, “[Shang-Chi has] given me absolutely everything in my life… I would go as far as to say that I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.”
Avengers: Doomsday is all set to reunite Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Paul Rudd, Sebastian Stan and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Directed by Russo brothers, the much awaited action sci-fi movie is slated to release on December 18, 2026.
