Glen Powell unveils the moment where he felt 'defeated' in career
Glen Powell shares embarrassing moment with Dustin Hoffman in initial career days
Glen Powell opened about the embarrassing moment he faced in his career.
The 37-year-old, whose new film The Running Man just released earlier this week, appeared for an interview at Sean Evans’ Hot Ones show.
During the chat, Anyone but You actor recalled the moment where he felt defeated in his acting career.
The Twisters actor reminisced getting a call from Dustin Hoffman, who invited him to his office to read a role.
He explained the scenario by saying, “I started reading [the pages], but I was so in awe that Dustin Hoffman was sitting across from me.”
“He’s one of my favourite actors of all time. As I’m reading, I’m watching the life drain from his eyes being like, ‘This guy sucks so bad.’ And I was like, ‘Oh no.”
While reading the pages, Glen revealed that he felt like he was clearly getting an understanding that he was losing it.
“I’m watching him, I’m losing him. And then I’m being like, ‘Yeah, you’re losing him,’ and then I look back and I’m losing him even more. And I left so defeated”, he added.
Besides featuring Powell, The Running Man also stars Emilia Jones, Lee Pace, Daniel Ezra and Michael Cera.
