Jennifer Lopez has seemingly sparked tension with Matt Damon’s wife, Luciana Barroso, over her unusually familiar behaviour with the Good Will Hunting star.
Damon, a best friend of Ben Affleck, Lopez ex-husband, maintained a close relationship with Shotgun Wedding star while she and Affleck were still married.
Barroso was reportedly unsettled by Lopez’s closeness to Damon, particularly when she held his hand at the Toronto Film Festival in 2024, while Affleck was absent from the event.
"Lucy trusts Matt. This isn't a case of her worrying about what he might do, it's J.Lo's behavior that bothers her. J.Lo doesn't respect boundaries and she's way too familiar with Matt," the insider reported to RadarOnline.
The source added that the photos "did not go down well" with Barroso, emphasising that it would be different if she and Lopez were friends, which they are not.
The tipster revealed that during the time Affleck and Lopez were married Barroso tried to build friendship with her, however it wasn't successful.
"It drives her nuts that Matt still has to keep up this close relationship with J.Lo even though she and Ben are divorced," the tipster added.
Following the divorce, Damon and Affleck worked as an executive producer on Lopez’s film Kiss of the Spider Woman, which was released on October 10.
While involved in the project, Affleck also expressed annoyance at her behaviour with Damon.
The insider added, noting that although they financed the movie, Affleck feels Damon shouldn’t be overly involved with Lopez.
Lopez and Affleck got married on 16 July 2022, filed for divorce in August 2024 and finalised it in January 2025
