Emily Blunt has recently offered rare insight into working with her husband John Krasinski.
The Devil Wears Prada actress, who tied the knot with John in 2010 and shares two children, reveals secret to keep their marriage strong for ELLE’s 2025 Women in Hollywood Celebration issue.
The Smashing Machine actress praises her husband, saying, “I don’t think he knew what was capable of.”
“It's sort of like watching someone discover a superpower, which was wild,” continues the 42-year-old.
Emily has worked with John on the hit 2018 movie A Quiet Place, where they played an on-screen couple, who are trying to keep their family alive in a post-apocalyptic world.
The actress recalls that before they began filming for this movie, “I was like, 'Look, I'm thrilled to be doing this with you, but do you know how to shoot this movie? Because I don't know how to shoot a movie. So, I'm just asking.”
“He was laughing and he was like, 'I think I do know how to shoot it. I don't know why, but I think I do,” mentions the Edge of Tomorrow actress.
Emily adds, “And can you imagine if he thought I was really bad? That would not be good.”
Meanwhile, The Fall Guy actress admits that after they had done that movie and they didn’t respect each other, the movie “would have been an absolute disaster”.
