Dakota Fanning makes surprising confession after entering her 30s
‘War of the Worlds’ star explains how she navigated pressures of fame at a young age
Dakota Fanning has recently expressed her wish to have kids after entering next decade of her life.
The American actress, who has been in the entertainment industry since the age of five, is now in her 30s and reveals what she really wants in this chapter of her life.
“Every year that goes by, you're more in tune with who you are and with what you want and don't want,” says the 31-year-old in a new interview with Byrdie.
I Am Sam actress shares she wants to associate this decade with the next part of her life.
“I've always wanted to have kids that's something I've never questioned and has always been really important to me,” explains Dakota.
Interestingly, the War of the Worlds actress hopes that dating will end soon in this decade.
Elsewhere in the interview, Dakota opens up about being in the public eye at such a young age and how she navigates the pressures of fame at the time.
“I'm still learning about myself, and I'm not going to be perfect all the time. I'm not going to make the 'wise beyond your years' choice at every step,” points out the UpTown Girls actress.
Dakota tells the outlet, “I've definitely had times where I've had to work through that.”
However, The Watchers actress adds that she “always had a strong sense of myself and a healthy ability to block out what feels untrue or too heavy”.
Meanwhile, Dakota will next be seen with her sister Elle Fanning in upcoming flick, The Nightingale, which will hit the theatres in 2027.
