Britney Spears’ social media blackout after bombshell allegations: Report
‘Toxic’ singer’s sudden online disappearance after ex’s explosive memoir
Britney Spears has recently taken a social media blackout followed by the release of her former husband Kevin Federline’s new memoir.
Multiple sources reveal that the Toxic crooner suddenly disappeared from her Instagram account after her ex started sharing controversial posts, humiliating her through his autobiography.
“She needed to come off social media because she was close to going nuclear,” said a source, per Radar Online.
An insider mentioned, “She was hurt that people use her posts to weaponise her past issues with mental illness to mock and denigrate her.”
Friends close to Britney explained that she’s “super hurtful and super traumatising”.
“It's triggering. It's really sad, and at the end of the day, she still cares what people think about her,” explained an insider.
After Britney’s ex Kevin, who was married between 2004 and 2007, made explosive allegations in his memoir, You Thought You Knew. The singer reportedly rejected claims and accused him to profit off his famous singer now that child support payments had ended.
Some sources opened up that the singer leaned on her longtime confidant and talent manager Cade Hudson for support.
“Britney trusts Cade more than anyone else in the world, even more than her family,” remarked an insider.
The source added, “He's one of the few people who can talk sense into her when she needs it, but who can also be a friend.”
Meanwhile, an insider pointed out that the singer wanted to focus on “protecting her peace and finding comfort” among the few people she only trusts.
