Elle Fanning gives important production update on 'Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping'
Elle Fanning has shared a major update about the reboot of Hunger Games.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will tell the story of a young Haymitch Abernathy during the 50th Hunger Games.
Fanning will be playing the role of Effie Trinket, previously played by Elizabeth Banks.
In a recent interview, the 27-year-old spoke about the upcoming film. Elle confirmed that she is done "filming" her part in the movie.
However, the overall shoot of Sunrise of the Reaping is still undergoing, but are expected to wrap up this month.
"Well, I'm done filming it, so that's done”, the Maleficent star told Collider.
While speaking about her character, Fanning said, "Effie's on the screen, which is super cool.” She also revealed that "the clothes are great."
Elle further explained how she portrayed the character considering that it was earlier played phenomenally by Banks.
"I love what Elizabeth Banks did so much, so I'm like, you know, bow down to her”, said Predator Badlands actress.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, The Hunger Games prequel is going to star Joseph Zada, McKenna Grace, Maya Hawke and Whitney Peak.
The film is slated to come out in theatres on November 20, 2026.
