Hilary Duff has recently offered rare insight into her relationship with older sister Haylie Duff.
The Younger star, who promotes her new song Mature, reveals to Rolling Stone that both sisters never interacted with each other on social media and were not seen in public together since 2019.
Hilary confesses that she “finally feels ready to fill in the blanks and share with people and connect with them on the level of now”.
“I’ve had a 25-plus-year career and obviously, it’s taken a lot of twists and turns and ups and downs,” explains the former Disney Channel star.
Hilary opens up that she and her fans “have gone through a lot of the same things whether that’s complicated relationships, anxiety, raising kids, divorces, trying to find yourself in adulthood, family drama”.
Earlier in the hiatus years, the actress and singer reportedly focused on her acting career with starring roles on Younger and How I Met Your Father as she also prioritises her family.
Meanwhile, Hilary shares new music can relate to her fans’ lives after she released her first single, Mature in 10 years.
“I have this crazy connection with fans that I’ve known since I was 9 [and] 10 years old, and I just want to connect with them again now,” she previously told podcast host Jake Shane.
The actress points out, “I think we have gone through a lot of the same things, whether that’s complicated relationships, anxiety, raising kids, divorces, trying to find yourself in adult [or] family drama.”
“Finally, I felt safe enough and comfortable in my own family to step outside and open that part of myself up again,” adds Hilary.
