Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals why he wants this movie to be remade
Arnold Schwarzenegger has recently shared his honest reaction to Running Man’ remake.
The Terminator star revealed he always wished his movie to be remade as he lately met Glen Powell and director Edgar Wright at the premiere of 2025’s The Running Man – a remake of his 1987 movie of the same title.
“The only movie that I always wanted to have redone of my movies was ‘The Running Man,’” said the 78-year-old over the weekend.
The Expendables star told Glen and Edgar, “Now, this one really upped it and did exactly that. The action was unbelievable and creative.”
Interestingly, the original movie, which was directed by Paul Michael Glaser and written by Richard Bachman, feature Arnold, Maria Conchita Alonso, Richard Dawson, Jim Brown and Jesse Ventura.
After almost 40 years, Glen tried to put his own spin to the Arnold’s character in the new movie.
Earlier, speaking to PEOPLE in April, the Twisters actor opened up that he and the director talked to Arnold over FaceTime.
“He gave us his blessing,” stated the True Lies actor.
Glen added that Arnold’s son Patrick Schwarzenegger is a great friend of his and he requested him to arrange a conversation with Arnold as he had not seen him after Expendables.
