Chris Hemsworth makes 'conscious decision' after Alzheimer's diagnosis
Chris Hemsworth to star in 'Crime 101' along with Mark Ruffalo
Chris Hemsworth has opened about his struggles after learning that he is at high risk of Alzheimer's disease.
The Thor actor, who is considered a motivation for many due to his physique, learnt about his medical condition while he was filming the first season of his National Geographic show, Limitless.
He said that he did not focus much on it initially, but later he understood how essential it is to take care of mind as constant stress could impact the brain.
Hemsworth continued that he did not want to "sprint". He felt like he wasn’t in control of himself and he was just being dragged along.
In an interview with LADBible, the 42-year-old said, "There’s good stress… and then there’s continual dumping of cortisol, which is negative. Being in that fight or slight state, which in this modern world, we tend to find ourselves in far too often and for prolonged periods.”
"I sort of pushed back a little bit on the sort of ride I was on, where I felt like I wasn’t in control. I was just being dragged along," he continued.
The Extraction actor made a conscious decision to build stillness and solitude in his daily routine. He also opened about finding more time to spend with his loves ones.
Work wise, Chris will be featuring in Crime 101 alongside Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Halle Berry and Monica Barbaro.
