Warner Bros. Discovery gave an update on the upcoming DCU movies.

The WBD shareholder’s confirmed that Matt Reeves’ The Batman Part II will finally start filming in the spring.

"The Batman II (2027) is preparing to begin shooting next spring, among several other projects in development," read the shareholder note.

In film, Robert Pattinson is set to reprise his role as the Dark Knight, with Reeves confirming that Colin Farrell would also return as The Penguin, giving continuity to the HBO series.

In addition to this, Deadline also reported that the note has confirmed the title of the film James Gunn will be working on.

"James Gunn is already preparing to write the next instalment in the Super family," confirmed the WBD CEO David Zaslav.

"In film, James Gunn is busy preparing the next instalments of the DC super family, including Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (2026), Clayface (2026) and the next Wonder Woman," it adds.

The note went on to share details on the next of DC's storytelling. It said that it will unfold across multiple fronts, with new TV projects such as The Penguin, the next season of Peacemaker, and the launch of Lanterns in 2026.

The note continued, "In a precise and measured way, the DC franchise will increasingly overlay across the studio’s broader efforts: from film and TV to consumer products, games, experiences and social."

The Batman II is slated for release on October 1, 2027.

Meanwhile, Gunn's Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is slated for release on June 26, 2026.
