Timothée Chalamet has recently made shocking admission about his bold outfit choices.
The Wonka star reflected on the beginning of his acting career, revealing that he decided to wear a pink raincoat to his first major movie premiere, even if his team was against it.
Chalamet recalled crossing his paths with French fashion designer Haider Ackermann back in 2017.
The actor could not help but notice Ackermann was donning a pink Berluti trench coat.
“I was like, ‘Oh, boom. That’s what I’m wearing,” for his Luca Guadagnino movie, Call Me By Your Name which was going to be premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival.
However, his publicist at the time didn’t agree.
“It was like, ‘You’re not even going to get off the ground!’” said the 29-year-old in a new December cover story for Vogue.
Chalamet was being told, “You’re going to ruin what you’re doing before you get going.”
Irrespective of his publicist disagreement, the Marty Supreme actor still “put the pink jacket on” and ended up attending the Berlin Film Festival in February 2017 while wearing the pink Berluti trench coat on top of a black suit with a black sweater and black leather boots.
Meanwhile, Chalamet revealed that he has a new publicist for now.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Dune actor confessed he would like to experience fatherhood some day in his life.
“The idea of having kids could be on the radar in the future,” stated Chalamet.
