KARACHI: Following revelations during the interrogation of seven National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) officers arrested in Lahore, authorities have decided to register another case in Islamabad against those officers who allegedly back illegal call centres operating across the country.
According to FIA sources, the case is expected to be registered later tonight (Thursday) or Friday (today). The sources said the case will involve a large number of officers linked from Peshawar to Karachi, including some from within the FIA itself. The scope of investigation against NCCIA officers continues to expand, with officials saying revelations from those arrested in Lahore have exposed a network of individuals accused of facilitating nationwide cyber-related crimes.
