Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been long embroiled in a legal battle over their $35M winery, which they co-owned during their marriage, and it seems to be nowhere nearly over.
The 61-year-old actor took new legal action against his ex-wife as he submitted an email he allegedly received from Jolie’s attorneys in 2023.
The F1 star attached the email, which read, “The burdensome nature of any production is a matter of Mr. Pitt’s own creation—he is suing Ms. Jolie for $35 million in damages. As a result, he has to incur the expense of producing the documents that will show (or not show) those damages.”
Another email from the Maria star’s legal team noted that “Pitt’s continuing refusals to produce documents relating to the reasons why he needed his four-year NDA covering his personal misconduct,” which would have been necessary for the proceeding of the case.
The Fight Club actor’s lawyers claim that within six months after Jolie’s winery deal, her attorneys presented a broader, mutual non-disparagement clause to Pitt in relation to their divorce case.
Pitt sued Jolie for selling her shares of the French winery without his knowledge, despite the former couple’s agreement that neither of the parties would do so.
However, the Girl, Interrupted actress has denied the existence of any such agreement and claimed that her ex-husband is “waging a vindictive war against her.”
