Netflix has renewed the popular romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This for a third season, just two weeks after the second season's premiere on October 23.
The announcement was made in a video shared by Netflix, featuring series lead Kristen Bell video calling other cast members to reveal the news.
The series, based on the life of its creator Erin Foster, is a Jewish rom-com that stars Adam Brody as Rabbi Noah Roklov, who falls for Bell's Joanne, an agnostic and cynical podcaster.
The cast also includes Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Michael Hitchcock, Stephanie Faracy, Paul Ben-Victor, Tovah Feldshuh, Sherry Cola, and D'Arcy Carden.
Season 2 ended with Joanne choosing to convert to Judaism while Noah was being convinced to accept her as she is. Season three is expected to answer whether or not Joanne will convert.
The season also explored Joanne's sister Morgan's friendship with Noah's brother Sasha, leaving viewers wondering if they'd pursue a relationship.
Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan joined the second season as co-showrunners, and along with Foster and her sister Sara, are serving as executive producers on the show. A release date for season three has not been announced yet.
"We are so grateful to Netflix and 20th for giving us another season of 'Nobody Wants This'," said Konner and Kaplan.
"This job is criminally fun. Working with the uniquely gifted Erin Foster, this unbelievable cast of talented, hilarious pros, amazing writers, and incredible crew has been a truly great experience."
"I couldn't be more excited to head into a third season of this show," Foster said.
"It is a privilege to be able to write about my favorite couple on a scale like this. As long as it doesn't take too much time away from me watching reality TV at night, I'll do it for as long as they want me to."
