Robert Pattinson shares filming experience on set of ‘Dune 3’
Robert Pattinson recalls mind-numbing heat on set of ‘Dune: Messiah'
Robert Pattinson, who is set to star as, Scytale, a master shapeshifter in Dune: Part Three, opened up about his filming experience in the Arabian deserts.
The third part is an adaptation of Dune: Messiah, in which Scytale conspires to overthrow Emperor Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet).
In an interview with IndieWire, the Twilight star sharing his on-set experience said, "It’s actually really nice. When I was doing Dune it was so hot in the desert that I just couldn’t question anything."
He continued, "It was so relaxing, like my brain actually wasn’t operating, I did not have a single functioning brain cell. And I was just listening to Denis [Villeneuve], 'Whatever you want!'"
"I actually found it relaxing," he added. "Now I’m taking that into other roles."
The third instalment kicks off twelve years after the events of Dune: Part II, with Paul Atreides now ruling as Emperor.
He is married to Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh) while continuing his relationship with his concubine, Chani (Zendaya), as various forces begin to plot against him.
Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem and Anya Taylor-Joy will reprise their roles, while Nakoa-Wolf Mamoa and Ida Brooke star as Paul’s children.
Dune: Messiah is expected to release on December 18, 2026.
