Jaime King is cheering on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s love story. The Hart of Dixie actress, who first met Swift in 2014 and later welcomed the singer into her inner circle, shared how thrilled she is about the couple’s engagement.
“I’m f--king stoked,” Jaime told Us Weekly in an interview published Nov. 1, calling Kelce “her person.”
She went on to say she’s “so happy” for the pair, showing that their friendship is still warm even if they’ve spent less time together publicly in recent years.
Jaime and Taylor’s bond goes way back. In 2015, Jaime asked Swift to be the godmother to her son Leo, now 10.
Over the years, she has often praised the Grammy winner for being a loving presence in her and her children’s lives.
She once shared that Taylor is “the best friend, godmother, human being that a person could ask to be in your orbit,” and admired how deeply she cares for others.
In an earlier conversation, Jaime explained that choosing Taylor was an easy decision because of the way she moves through the world, with generosity, bravery and authenticity.
She believed her child would always have “a very good person and role model through her.”
A lot has changed for both of them since then.
Taylor is preparing to walk down the aisle, and Jaime recently got engaged to Austin Sosa following her divorce from Kyle Newman in 2024.
Speaking about this new chapter, she said her engagement feels like a celebration of self, sharing, “To me, an engagement is really about a love for oneself.”
Even as life moves forward, Jaime’s excitement for Taylor’s happiness shows that the connection between them still runs deep.
