Nina Dobrev takes a dig at cancelled wedding plans with ex Shaun White

Nina Dobrev seems to have healed from her recent split with Shaun White, as she can now joke about her broken engagement.

The 36-year-old actress made fun of her personal life events through her Halloween costume this year, as she dressed up as Tiffany from Bride of Chucky.

The Vampire Diaries star took to Instagram a day after Halloween and revealed her look from the 1998 movie.

Dobrev posed in the creepy costume and partied with friends in the pictures, and also shared a video of herself getting the makeover.

Fans quickly pointed out the striking connection between her look and her recent breakup with her ex-fiancé, as White, just like Chucky, also has red hair.

Sharing their thoughts on the tongue-in-cheek shade, followers flocked to the comments, with one writing, “The layers to how funny and brilliant this costume is are not lost on me. Get 'em, girl!”

Another echoed, “Lmao the ultimate clap back!!!! Petty Queen we love this!!!!” and, “The message between the lines is sublime!” chimed in a third.

“Looking fine af after a redhead stabs you in the heart,” and “Shawn we didn’t see you this hallowen[sic] season,” wrote others, while one declared, “Chucky looks like her ex boyfriend.”

The former couple broke off their engagement in September after talking about wedding plans in many interviews.
