Colleen Hoover, who is widely known as one of the notable writers in Hollywood, has yet again turned another book into a movie.
Last year, her popular novel It Ends with Us was transformed into a movie that featured Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively in the lead roles.
This time, she has brought to the audience another romantic comedy titled, Regretting You; a film based on a mother and daughter duo, who struggle with their relationship after the tragic accident of her husband/father leading to unforeseen connections and distressing secrets.
Just like It Ends With Us, the new film is also gauging negative reactions from viewers, who are now claiming that Hoover’s write up "does not make any sense".
People are questioning how do makers invest so much money into this nonsense.
While sharing their opinions about the film, one of them wrote, “Its a Colleen Hoover. Of course, it doesn't make sense.”
Meanwhile, another claimed, “This is based on a Colleen Hoover book so it's going to be completely bizarre and yet not entertaining at all.”
Another frustrated critic wrote, “First of all… which idiot in Hollywood thought turning Colleen Hoover books in movies was a good idea. Like just this year.. they had so many announcements and releases. Book readers have zero standards or brain for that matter.”
“Writers are getting dumber and dumber. I’ve worked in video games for 2 decades and only a handful of them are actually good”, commented a social media user.

Colleen is planning on his converting her famous book Verity into a movie.
The movie is already in production with Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett playing significant roles. Michael Showalter's directorial is slated to release on October 2, 2026.
Despite having so many issues with Hoover's previous works, fans still look forward to the release of the new movie.
One of them wrote following the announcement of the film, "I just finished this book in one day. My mind is blown I have so many questions, feel like I've been run over by a train!"
