Catherine Corcoran, 33-year-old actress who rose to fame with the 2016 horror hit Terrifier, has filed a lawsuit against director Damien Leone and the film’s producers.

The star accused them of filming her without permission during a nude scene and failing to pay her the money she was promised from the movie’s success.

The lawsuit was filed in a federal court in California on October 26, 2025.

Court documents obtained by Variety revealed that Corcoran named production companies Dark Age Cinema, Fuzz on the Lens Productions, and Art the Clown.

She claimed they broke their contract and used her image for profit without her approval. However, the case included several claims such as breach of contract, fraud, and sharing intimate material.

Corcoran said filming the horror movie turned into a nightmare, sharing that she was made to hang upside down for more than ten hours in freezing conditions, which left her with injuries including head swelling and damage to her eardrums.

The Chuck actress further added that she never signed any consent papers for the nude scene and only agreed to appear wearing underwear.

Corcoran also said she received very little money for her role and was promised one percent of profits from the Terrifier franchise and merchandise.

Despite the films earning over 105 million dollars worldwide, her payments reportedly stopped in July 2024.

For the unversed, director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone have not commented on the case.
