WhatsApp makes status updates creative with more fun, personal sticker reactions

WhatsApp is currently testing a new feature to enhance how users respond to status updates during interaction using reaction stickers, moving beyond the current limited emoji reactions available within the application.

The prime motive behind this update is to enhance the interactivity and engagement of status updates, and to allow users to quickly express their emotions on photos and videos, emulating the behavior found in Instagram Stories.

WhatsApp’s reaction sticker feature will allow users to tailor the emojis they use for status updates.

Users can pick any emoji that reflects their mood or message before sharing a status. The intriguing new feature is that when someone views a status with a reaction sticker, they can immediately react to it without sending a text message.

It further ensures that the person who posted the status can view the reaction, and all data is protected with end-to-end encryption.

Nonetheless, the new feature is currently in the development phase and is not yet available to all users.

Once released via the App Store and TestFlight, these updates will enhance user experience and promote greater user expression and engagement simultaneously.
