Lucas Bravo previously confirmed that he would be returning to Emily in Paris for the fifth season, but he was surprisingly absent from the trailer.
The 37-year-old actor shocked fans with his absence, as the trailer only focused on Lily Collins’ character Emily and her love interest Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini.
Addressing the speculations, Bravo said, “I would love to tell you something. I like the fact that I’m not in the trailer and that it creates a conversation, and I’m gonna keep the conversation running. I won’t say anything,” in conversation with E! News.
When pressed about what it means for the character in the show, he said, “I don’t know. I’m not in it.”
Bravo’s appearance in the show was confirmed after he expressed bittersweet feelings about the show, sharing that he was unsure about his future with the show.
“It makes me question if I want to be part of season 5 — because my contract ends at season 4. I really want to see if Gabriel gets back to his fun, cheeky, playful, alive self,” he said at the time.
Much of the fans' confusion will be cleared when the new season comes out on December 18.
