George Clooney has recently shared real reason behind moving kids away from spotlight.
The legendry actor responds to a question about his relationship with fame while raising his twins, whom he shares with wife Amal Clooney, on a farm in France away from public eye.
“I came to fame later in life,” says the 64-year-old in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of upcoming Jay Kelly movie alongside Adam Sandler.
George points out, “I had an easier handle on it. I was not 19 years old.”
Ocean’s Eleven actor clarifies that they still have a place in the United States and in Italy as well.
But George notes that the reason he shifted to France is because “there are rules about taking pictures of kids in Europe”.
And therefore, the ER actor mentions that when the “kids don’t get their picture taken, that’s a good thing”.
Therefore, George adds, “That’s been very helpful for us.”
Earlier, speaking to Esquire magazine, the Ticket to Paradise actor explains that he also grew up on a farm as a kid.
“Now for the twins, it’s like – they’re not on their iPads. They have dinner with grownups and have to take their dishes in,” remarks George.
Wolfs actor believes that his kids have much a “better life” in France.
“I was worried about raising our kids in LA, in the culture of Hollywood. I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life,” recalls George.
However, the Batman & Robin actor thinks that people in France don’t care about fame.
“I don’t want kids to be walking around worried about paparazzi. I don’t want them being compared to somebody else’s famous kids,” concludes George.
