Colin Farrell, who is widely known for playing Oz the Cobb aka Penguin of Gotham, will again be reprising the titular role in the upcoming Batman sequel.

The script for The Batman Part II is completed and one question looms in everyone’s mind that is “if the new Matt Reeves film will do justice to Oz after what viewers saw in The Penguin series.”

In a recent chat with Collider’s Perri Nemiroff, Farrell was asked if he had to make up his mind before taking up the role again for the new sequel.

The Academy nominated actor confessed that he is always drawn to the character of Penguin because of the vision of director Reeves.

Colin opened, "I love that world. I mean, I loved it as a fan of film since Batman ‘66. I grew up watching that, and Burgess Meredith was my first Penguin, and then Danny DeVito was my second Penguin.”

He even praised Christopher Nolan’s work as well. But he finds Matt’s vision unique.

Farrell truly admires the struggles of Gotham city and the psychological struggles of the character of Bruce Wayne, and Batman shown by the 59-year-old filmmaker.

“Just to be part of that world… Honestly, just to be in something that takes place in Gotham, where a character called Bruce Wayne and Batman exist, is such a joy for me”, added the In Bruges star.

Colin recently starred in Netflix’s Ballad of a Small Player.
