Gillian Anderson has stepped back into the spotlight with an exciting new role in The Julia Set, a heartfelt coming-of-age drama now filming in London.
The beloved actress will reunite with Jason Isaacs, her former co-star from The Salt Path, and join young talents Chase Infiniti and Christopher Briney.
The story centers on Julia, played by Chase Infiniti, a brilliant math student trying to make her way in the tough world of academia.
Christopher Briney plays Pascal, a teaching assistant who encourages her to take on one of the most difficult math challenges in the world, the Putnam Exam.
However, the film is written and directed by Niki Byrne, who previously worked on Our Home.
Although details about Anderson’s role are still being kept secret, fans are already excited to see her working with Isaacs again.
The two also appeared together in Netflix’s Sex Education, where Anderson played the bold and witty Jean Milburn and Isaacs took on the role of Peter Groff.
For the unversed, this isn’t the only big project on Anderson’s plate, ad she will also star in Trespasses, a powerful drama set in 1970s Northern Ireland during The Troubles.
The series follows a mother and daughter caught in the middle of a forbidden love story that becomes more dangerous with every passing day.
Anderson stars alongside Lola Petticrew and Tom Cullen in a deeply emotional and gripping series.
