Miley Cyrus sparks Oscar buzz with her new song for 'Avatar: Fire And Ash'
American singer Miley Cyrus teases original song from James Cameron upcoming movie
Miley Cyrus has recently sparked Oscar buzz with her new rendition for upcoming movie, Avatar: Fire And Ash.
The Flowers hit-maker took to Instagram and shared a glimpse of her new track for James Cameron’s new movie on October 22.
Miley thanked the director for the opportunity and even called this experience “musical medicine”.
“Honoured to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song I’ve written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt,” wrote the 32-year-old in the caption.
Miley’s new song, Dream as One, also channeled the singer's experience of losing her home to wildfires back in 2018.
“Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me,” said the Hannah Montana star.
In the end, Miley thanked “Jim for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine”.
“The film’s themes of unity, healing, and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true,” concluded the songstress.
Interestingly, Miley’s new song is already attracting Oscar buzz as her fans across social media have voiced excitement over her potential nomination.
One wrote, “Academy award for best original song.”
“THAT OSCAR IS YOURS MY QUEEN,” remarked another fan.
A third one added, “I can smell the Oscar.”
Miley’s father Billy Ray Cyrus also praised her daughter, writing, “Sooo good,” with three heart emojis.
Meanwhile, the new Avatar: Fire And Ash movie is slated to release in theatres on December 19.
