Joe Jonas appreciates his Jonas brothers support amid difficult period
American musician Joe Jonas explains how his brothers helped him navigate through divorce
Joe Jonas has recently admitted his brothers stood by his side amid his difficult time.
The musician revealed that Nick and Kevin Jonas showed support to him at the time of his divorce with ex-wife Sophie Turner two years ago.
“These guys and many others being by my side through probably the most difficult time in my adult life thus far, navigating it while we’re travelling and touring,” said the 36-year-old in a new interview with Esquire.
Joe believed that divorce is tough, explaining, “It’s like, it’s not easy for anybody and, I think people are so quick to make assumptions, and I’m just grateful that I have these guys and I have amazing family and friends”.
The musician pointed out that music and The World Tour helped him to come out of that dark phase.
“People are going through so much, and the fact that I could go perform and make people feel something and maybe distract them from what they’re going through, or their divorce for the two hours they come see a concert, it gave me so much purpose,” he mentioned.
Elsewhere in the interview, Joe also reflected on his co-parenting with former wife.
“I could get it on the other side two-ish years later, and be able to have a relationship with my co-parent, Sophie. And you realise you do everything you do for your kids,” noted the musician.
