Matt Duffer teases Linda Hamilton role in ‘Stranger Things 5’
‘Stranger Things’ fifth and final season is set to release on November 26
Stranger Things co-showrunner, Matt Duffer gave a sneak peak of what to expect from Linda Hamilton's role in the fifth season.
The actress, who already know her way in apocalyptic situations like in the film The Terminator, has landed a daring role in final season of hit sci-fi series.
The Dante’s Peak star plays Dr Kay, a government agent who’s hunting down Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). Given the show's history, the government has never been on the side of heroes, hence Dr Kay is set to be another antagonist in the series.
"She’s hyper-intelligent and intimidating," Duffer told the Empire. "She’s a scientist but if she needs to, she can get into a fight and shoot a gun."
Hamilton has been a fan of Stranger Things for couple of years now.
Previously, io9 spoke to Hamilton about her role in Resident Alien and also asked her about being cast in Stranger Things.
"I really felt like, [is] there a place for me in that show? Having watched it for four seasons and loving it so much—I thought, I don’t belong there. That’s their world," she said about the Netflix original.
Stranger Things season five first volume drops on November 26.
