Nostradamus 2025 predictions: Prophecy points to global war, western decline

Predictions from the 16th-century French astrologer and apothecary Nostradamus continue to captivate readers and influence beliefs even after more than 500 years.

As 2025 draws near, Nostradamus’s predictions for the years following the first quarter of the 21st century are resurfacing. He has predicted a WWIII-like scenario.

The French astrologer wrote, “Human blood will sprinkle the sanctuary. Three fires rise from the eastern side, while the West loses its light in silence.”

Experts interpret it as an indication towards a major global conflict. Research by the RAND Corporation and the Atlantic Council has indicated there exists a 30 percent risk of a major conflict breaking out in 2026.

The “west losing its light to silence” has been deciphered as an indication towards emerging powers such as China and their growing influence in the world amid decreasing western influence and stability.

The 16th-century seer foresaw major happenings in the world that include:

• Rise of Adolf Hilter
• The French Revolution
• Assassination of John F. Kennedy

These are some of the high-profile events that Nostradamus predicted during his lifetime and happened in later years.

Who was Nostradamus?

The famous French astrologer, apothecary and seer was physician by profession and held expertise in treating plague victims.

Later, he shifted towards Astrology and published his first work titled Les Propheties in 1555, earning him a reputation for prophetic writings.

Les Propheties is filled with prophecies ranging from wars, climate change, political and social crises as well.

Some of his notable predictions include depletion of resources and exhaustion of the army in case of a longer conflict, which many claim is proving true in the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war.

He also predicted a climate-related disaster and the rise of a mysterious leader who may establish an aquatic empire.
