Charlie Cox clears air about role in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
Charlie Cox stars as Matt Murdock the blind lawyer in Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’
Charlie Cox broke silence on speculations about his possible role in upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Following the Daredevil star's brief cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel fans are looking forward to see him in the follow-up too.
However, during his appearance at the New York Comic Con, in conversation with podcast Phase Hero host Brandon Davis, The Defenders actor addressed the rumours making rounds about his part.
"Well, I don’t read anything, so I don’t know [what fans are saying online]," he said. "I know that they all think I’m in Spider-Man because I’m filming something in London, which I’m not. I’m not in Spider-Man…I’m just concentrating on DD right now."
Despite Cox debunking the speculations, fans continue to talk about his appearance in the new film, as Marvel stars have been known to downplay their involvement as they are sworn to secrecy to maintain the element of surprise.
Apart from Cox, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon will reprise their roles as MJ and Ned. Meanwhile Jon Bernthhal, Sadie Sink and Mark Ruffalo will be joining the cast.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be premiered on July 31, 2026.
