Aubrey Plaza cheers up with pal Amy Poehler after emotional podcast
Amy Poehler supports co-star Aubrey Plaza as she struggles with grief
Amy Poehler brought Aubrey Plaza back on TV amid her hiatus while the actress processes the death of her husband, Jeff Baena.
The Honey Don’t! star, 41, joined her Parks and Recreation co-star, 64, during the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, on October 11, in which Poehler served as the host.
Plaza starred in one of the comedic sketches with the Mean Girls actress, titled The Hunting Wives Season 2 trailer, which was a satire based on the show.
The skit was performed by a group of women, including the White Lotus actress and Poehler.
The Black Bear actress arrived as a “new girl” who introduced herself as “Hey ladies. I’m new here, I just moved from California,” and the audience went wild with excitement.
Plaza is no stranger to SNL, having been a part of many comedy sketches as well as trying her hand at hosting.
The Little Hours actress previously participated in a comedy sketch with Poehler as well, during the Weekend Update segment.
They have shared many highlights of their careers, but recently the two actresses sat down for Poehler’s podcast, Good Hang, and discussed Plaza’s grief over her husband.
She told Poehler, "Overall, I'm here and I'm functioning. I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. I think I'm okay, but it's like a daily struggle, obviously.”
