Channing Tatum talks about how his daughter convinced to star in one of the biggest project
Channing revealed the real decision maker behind his biggest career moves in Hollywood.
The Deadpool and Wolverine actor shared that he doesn't take any role until he gets his daughter Everly’s approval.
During his appearance at the Kelly Clarkson Show, Tatum explained why he always consults his daughter before accepting any role.
"It's a balance and a constant negotiation," Tatum said on the show, adding that spending long periods away from his daughter never sits well with him.
He recalled that only time he had ever been away was when he Roofman in North Carolina.
Following the wrap- up of his lataest film he shared that since Everly, who is now in middle school, has much "more demanding" and he "wants to be there" for it all.
However, he shared that when he was felt hesitant before accepting his role in Avengers: Doomsday, his daughter encouraged him on taking the role.
"I was having the conversation about going to do Avengers because [it] was going to be in London, same thing. It wasn't as long but I was like, 'I don’t know if I want to take it, Ev, because I’m gonna miss the beginning of middle school,'" he explained.
Tatum continued, "She was like, 'No dad. That’s a really good part, I want you to go do that.'"
The Magic Mike star is set to play Remy LeBeau/ Gambit in Avengers: Doomsday.
The highly anticipated film will also mark return of Robert Downey Jr in Marvel Universe as Doctor Doom, alongside an ensemble of A-lister reprising their superhero roles.
Avengers: Doomsday will release on December 18, 2026.
