George Clooney gives important update regarding future of Ocean's franchise
Ocean's film series feature George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon in key roles
George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s evergreen Ocean’s franchise has just received a promising update.
Directed by Steven Soderbergh and Gary Ross, the film series kickstarted in 2001 with movie Ocean’s Eleven and continued to run for two more sequels; Ocean’s Twelve (2004) and Ocean’s thirteen (2007) and a spin-off version Ocean’s Eight (2018) featuring Julia Roberts.
After so many years, the franchise has once again received an exciting update from the lead star, who is currently busy promoting his new film Jay Kelly alongside Adam Sandler.
The American heist comedy universe is expanding, and two more films are in development.
Clooney, in an interview with E! News, revealed that the makers have just got an approval for the budget from Warner Bros.
"We just got the budget approved at Warner Brothers and we're trying to set up… It's just scheduling. So, just setting a start date for us. [We'll] probably start in about 9 or 10 months, shooting."
Meanwhile, when asked how it feels like getting to reunite with the same old gang after years, the 64-year-old responded, "Yeah. Brad [Pitt], Matt [Damon], Don [Cheadle], and Julia [Roberts].”
“I had dinner last night with Julia. You know, they're all still really good friends, and so, the chance to work together again will be fun."
George’s new film Jay Kelly is coming out on Netflix in November.
