Channing Tatum shares daughter’s sweet role while filming ‘Roofman’
Roofman director Derek Cianfrance was delighted to work with Channing Tatum on set
Channing Tatum credited his daughter Everly in helping him in taking his work up a notch in the Roofman.
The Deadpool and Wolverine actor portrays the role of real life Roofman, Jeffery Manchester. He used to rob places by cutting holes in roof, escaped prison and spent months secretly living in a Toys 'R' Us shop.
In an interview with Hello! Magazine, Tatum along with Cianfrance and his co-star Kirsten Dunst opened up about the role his daughter played in his during his shooting.
"My daughter came to set and my daughter's never been into a Toys 'R' Us. She's 12 and they're all gone," he recalled. "She was running around, picking up everything and playing with everything."
The Magic Mike star added, "Hula hooping. It was just joyful. She came in at the right time because it helped me even take the play up another level."
Elsewhere in the interview, Cianfrance shared his delight on seeing the lead actor reconnecting with his childhood.
"If you live in a toy store for six months, it has a way to connect you to your inner child," he said. "I'm so happy Channing got a chance to be reconnected with his."
The Roofman also stars Peter Dinklage, LaKeith Stanfield and Juno Temple and many more.
Roofman is now running in theatres.
