Danielle Galligan opened up about her experience of playing the role as one of the family members of House of Guinness.

The Shadow and Bone actress is set to star as Lady Olivia, an aristocrat who marries into the Guinness family as wife of Arthur Guinness (Anthony Boyle). After the British monarch, she was the richest woman in Britain and Ireland at the time.

Galligan, in conversation with the BBC, shared that she loved exploring and understanding the character and how she really was like.

"She's such a firecracker in the series and then I actually found out she was also a very solitary and silent woman who painted lots of water colours," Galligan explained.

Talking about how she felt leaning about Olivia, the Irish star said, "She was a woman who had everything and yet was still looking for something. Learning about her gave me a sense of her lack of fulfilment and added another layer to her."

The upcoming series is set to follow the story of the family behind the Guinness brewing company in 19th century Ireland and New York, and the consequences following the death of Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne and Ben.

In addition to Boyle as Arthur, the cast also includes, Louis Partridge as Edward Guinness, Emily Fairn as Anne Plunket (née Guinness), and Fionn O'Shea as Benjamin Guinness and many more.

House of Guinness is set to release on September 25.
