Kelsea Ballerini issues plea for 'prayers' following Chase Stokes breakup

Kelsea Ballerini seems to be struggling against not one, but several challenges together, as she builds her life back up after breakup.

The 32-year-old songstress had been in a relationship with Chase Stokes, since 2023, and the couple’s split came as a shock to onlookers.

The I Quit Drinking hitmaker has kept the reasons of their breakup private, but she took to Instagram to ask for prayers for her dog who had to undergo a surprise surgery.

“Baby boy has a surprise surgery today. we would appreciate all of the big love and prayers and healing energy you can send his way. it's gotten him this far,” Ballerini shared on Stories alongside a picture of Dibs, on Wednesday, September 24.

The Cowboys Cry Too singer previously shared that her dog had “inoperable cancer in his heart” back in 2024, which seemed to have gotten worse.

In the following slide, a few hours later, Ballerini shared that Dibs was out of surgery, but did not share further details.

This comes after the former couple, who stayed together for almost three years, confirmed their split to People Magazine, just a week ago.

“They’re two adults who gave it their all and tried to do everything they could to make it work, but ultimately couldn’t. It happens," an insider told the outlet.
