‘Demon Slayer’ beats ‘Him’ for No.1 at box office, earns $550M worldwide

Demon Slayer has taken over the box office by a storm.
As per the latest statistics, the animated film of 2025 directed by Haruo Sotozaki has earned the top spot beating Justin Tippings’s Him, starring Marlon Wayans.
The new action adventure collected $70 million in on opening weekend in the USA setting a record for other competitors.
The film is looking forward to earn $17.3 million coming weekend, which is going to be a 77% drop in comparison to the opening weekend, but it is enough for a victory against the other films.
With now standing at a total earning of $555 million, Demon Slayer has become the top-grossing anime films of all time worldwide.
The action-adventure movie not only competed with Him but Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie’s A Big Bold Beautiful Journey also stood alongside as an opponent.
However, it projected $3.5 million and earned the sixth place at the global box office.
The Japanese language film revolves around Tanjiro Kamado and other members of Demon Slayer Corps, who find themselves in a heroic battle of Infinity Castle.
Actors namely Channing Tatum, Kana Hanazawa, Saori Hayami, Reina Ueda and Natsuki Hanae lent their vocals for the new action adventure.
