Angelina Jolie fans might be in for a surprise as her old classic franchise gets an update about third sequel.
Jolie’s 2014 film Maleficent is one of the notable works of the 53-year-old actress. The film already has a sequel that released in 2019 called Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
The family fantasy franchise has finally received a firsthand update about a new entry from director Joachim Rønning, who also directed Pirates of the Caribbean.
In a recent interview with Screen Rant’s Liam Crowley, the 53-year-old filmmaker opened if he has plans of making another entry of the popular franchise.
In a statement, he added, “That’s a good question. I think I’m always interested in a good story. For me, that’s what it’s all about. So, we will see what the future holds.”
He further expressed his love for both his globally acclaimed film series’; Maleficent and Pirates. “I love Maleficent, and I love Pirates. It changed my life and career, being able to get that gig. Now doing Tron, I feel so lucky to have been able to do (these big projects).”
Rønning admitted that he feels lucky to have received the opportunity of making big films like these.
Angelina’s classic features her as a kind-hearted fairy who changes after being deceived by her lover.
