King Charles extends heartfelt invitation as Prince Harry continues UK tour
Royal family shares message about King Charles' meaningful move as Harry returns
King Charles has taken a meaningful step during Prince Harry's headline-making UK trip.
On September 9, the official Instagram page of the royal family invited the well-wishers of the Duchess of Kent to leave their condolences to her grieving family.
The monarch's team released a black and white portrait of Katharine with a heartfelt message.
The note reads, "Members of the public wishing to pay their condolences to the Duchess of Kent's family can now do so online."
For the unversed, on September 4, Buckingham Palace announced that the Duchess of Kent peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family at Kensington Palace.
The funeral of the late royal figure will be held at Westminster Cathedral on September 16, with King Charles and Queen Camilla among the senior royals who will be in attendance.
It is worth mentioning that the new online book of condolences was shared after Harry returned from Nottingham to London.
The Duke of Sussex is currently on his four-day UK trip to perform a series of his charitable work. Moreover, there are chances of his meeting with his father, Charles, after they began their peace talks.
