Leonardo DiCaprio is revealing his future career plans, as he has been dominating Hollywood for years and wouldn’t hesitate to ‘slow down’ for a bit.

The 50-year-old actor, who is widely known for his roles in Titanic and The Wolf of Wall Street, recently shared that he is considering stepping back after dedicating decades to his craft.

During the premiere of his new film One Battle After Another at the Chinese Theatre on Monday, September 8, the actor opened up to People magazine about his plans to slow down and reflect on his body of work.

“I’m slowing down a bit,” he told the outlet.

However, he didn’t specify whether he’ll be going on a full hiatus or simply becoming more selective about projects that bring him inner peace.

Reflecting on his experience working alongside writer and director Paul Thomas Anderson on his latest film, he added, “I think anytime would’ve been the right time, to be honest. Ever since I met Paul early on and I saw Boogie Nights, I’ve been an obsessive fan of his work—I’ve watched all his movies.

“His films ruminate in my mind, and they’re conversation pieces with my friends; they last.”

In addition, upon entering his 50s, the actor mentioned that he no longer makes films to hoard awards; instead, he wishes to look back on the masterpieces he has created along the way.

For the unversed, One Battle After Another is slated to premiere on September 26.
