Cillian Murphy returns as Tommy Shelby in 'Peaky Blinders' film on Netflix 2026

Oppenheimer famed Cillian Murphy will be returning as Tommy Shelby for a Peaky Blinders movie.
The Irish star rose to great prominence with crime drama that first aired in 2013. The Netflix series featured Murphy as a dangerous man leading a gang based in Birmingham named Peaky Blinders.
Written by Steven Knight, Toby Finlay and Stephen Russell, the historic crime drama is based on six season that continue to run on streaming giant until 2022.
The globally acclaimed show will now be getting a film titled The Immortal Man, featuring the 49-year-old star as Tommy Shelby.
Netflix has not announced an official release date for the project so far, but there are higher chances that the new film will likely release in the first half of 2026, reported Collider.

The Small Things Like These star, in conversation with The Observer, revealed that he made the choice to the reprise his iconic role in a Peaky Blinders film because he felt a "sense of duty to fans".
In a statement, Cillian added, “I did work out that I’ve been playing the character for a quarter of my life, which is kind of mad.”
"Because we got a really good script, and I have a sense of duty to the fans because, in many ways, they made the show the success that it is. It’s a proper bookend to the whole 36 hours of television”, he confessed.
The forthcoming movie will also feature Paul Anderson, Barry Keoghan, Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle and Rebecca Ferguson.
