Breaking Bad star arrested after tense clash in quiet neighborhood
Actor from Breaking Bad faces arrest over bizarre backyard clash
Raymond Cruz, best known for playing Tuco Salamanca in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday after an unusual street dispute turned into a police matter.
The 60 year old star was washing his car in Silverlake on Monday morning when things reportedly got heated.
According to police insiders, a woman parked her car behind him, blocking his space. Cruz asked her to move but when she didn’t, he allegedly turned the garden hose on her.
The woman’s daughter later reported the incident, claiming he sprayed her on purpose.
The actor was taken into custody on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and booked at a local station.
However, no formal charges been filed by the afternoon, and sources said the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office would likely decide how to move forward.
In cases like this, prosecutors sometimes choose not to press charges and instead arrange an office hearing, issue warnings, or suggest anger management classes as a way to close the matter.
For the unversed, the star has been acting for decades and is well known for his intense screen presence.
Before becoming a fan favorite in Breaking Bad, he built a long career with roles in shows such as The X-Files, Walker Texas Ranger and NYPD Blue, as well as movies including Clear and Present Danger, The Rock and Alien Resurrection.
Cruz big breakthrough came with Training Day in 2001, where he played a ruthless gangster named Sniper.
