Lily Collins gushes over husband Charlie McDowell on anniversary

Lily Collins is beyond grateful and more in love than ever with her husband Charlie McDowell for being with her through thick and thin.

To celebrate the couple's fourth wedding anniversary on Thursday, September 4, the Emily in Paris star took to her Instagram grid to pen a sweet and emotional note for her beloved partner.

"Four years ago I married my best friend, and today, we not only have our steadfast buddy @redforddog but our newest and most magical bestie T. I cannot express how lucky I feel to be yours every single day," she wrote in the caption of a two-slide carousel.

The first picture shows a polaroid shot taken during their wedding, in which the couple could be seen smiling at each other.

The Love, Rosie actress donned a white wedding dress as she looked lovingly at her husband, who flashed a bright smile while holding their dog.

"Thank you for being the most incredible dad, wonderful husband, supportive partner, and inspiring other half. You go above and beyond in our family," she continued the touching message. "It’s the big picture things but it’s really, most importantly, the daily little things you do that blow my mind."

A second photo showed McDowell, 42, holding their daughter Tove Jane up toward the edge of the ocean as they had a family beach day. Their dog could also be seen in the shot trotting alongside the father-daughter duo.

The American actress wrote, "I couldn’t have worked, let alone functioned, these past few months without you stepping in and up as you have."

She treasured her husband’s "steadfast love" before wrapping up, "I never could have imagined a life or partnership like ours. To think it’s just the beginning, grateful doesn’t even begin to describe it. I love you beyond…"

Collins, 36, and McDowell first sparked dating rumours in July 2019 and made their relationship Instagram official a month later.

They got engaged in 2020 and a year later tied the knot in Dunton, Colorado.

In January 2025, the couple announced that they welcomed their first child, daughter Tove Jane, whom they had via surrogate.
