Sydney Sweeney breaks social media silence amid new romance buzz

Sydney Sweeney appears to be ignoring the backlash she has been receiving and prioritising what is important to her.

The 27-year-old actress broke her silence on social media as she took to Instagram and shared a post promoting her upcoming Christy Martin biopic.

The post announced Christy’s premiere at the BFI London Film Festival, which stars Sweeney as the boxing champion.

The Euphoria actress garnered negative attention on the post as well, as it comes amid her ongoing controversy after the “great jeans” ad with American Eagle.

Referring to the controversial ad, one social media user wrote, “Good genes hit hard the movie,” while another added, “LAME hope it flops. Eugenics aren’t cute.”

“Another flop,” chimed in a third critic, referring to her recent release, Americana, which ended up being a commercial failure.

In the wake of ongoing criticism, Sweeney recently confirmed her new romance with Scooter Braun, after she was spotted with him in Venice.

According to an insider, the couple spent Labour Day weekend together in Lake Tahoe, after hanging out at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s Italian wedding.
