Wednesday fans express their feelings as soon as the season two’s part two dropped on the Netflix.
The most awaited cameo of Lady Gaga's has left fans wanting more. The pop star played the role of Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore teacher, in a brief but memorable cameo.
Despite her limited screen time, Gaga's performance has sparked discussion among fans, with many feeling that her appearance was too short.
The singer's character appeared in episode 6 of season 2, titled Woe Thyself.
According to fans who timed her appearance, Gaga's cameo lasts around 1 minute and 50 seconds.
For unversed, Rotwood is a deceased Nevermore professor known for her second sight, and Wednesday seeks her help to regain her psychic abilities.
Fans took to the issue to social media to express their disappointment with the brevity of Gaga's appearance.
One fan tweeted, "Lady Gaga's appearance in Wednesday season 2 is a minute and fifty seconds long." Another fan added, "I knew Lady Gaga's cameo in Wednesday was going to be short but GODDAMN she appeared for 70 SECONDS or smth."
While some felt that Gaga's limited screen time didn't do justice to her talent, with joking, "Gaga appearing for only 2 mins in the series hahahahahaha."
In the show, Gaga’s on-screen appearance was brief, her contribution to the show didn't stop there.
Her new song, The Dead Dance, features in the show, and she released a music video for the track, directed by Tim Burton.
According to Wednesday co-creator Alfred Gough, Gaga's guest appearance came about after her song Bloody Mary went viral on TikTok during season 1.
Gough said, "She was interested, we were interested... We all know she's an amazing actress, so we were just thrilled that she could come and play in the sandbox."
Despite the concision of her appearance, fans and critics alike have praised Gaga's performance.
Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams, described Gaga as "unbelievably sweet and giving" and said that working with her was a dream.
Ortega hinted that Gaga's screen time might be limited, saying, "To be able to spend a day with her shooting was an absolute dream."
