Julia Garner has finally dished out new detail about Madonna’s official biopic, Material Girl.
In a video interview with W Magazine, the Ozark star reportedly confirmed that she’s all set to portray the pop icon in the upcoming movie.
“I can’t say too much about it, but yes, it’s a work in progress,” said the 31-year-old.
Although the Weapons actress didn’t reveal how much shoot is left for the movie, Julia showed that she’s done her full-fledged research on the music legend.
Interestingly, the Wolf Man actress listed down her favourite Madonna songs, saying, “I love Borderline, that’s probably my preferred one.”
Other songs that Julia loves to listen include “Papa Don’t Preach, Burning Up, Confessions on a Dance Floor”.
“I grew up with that album. Obviously ‘Vogue,’ and ‘Ray of Light’,” she remarked.
However, Julia mentioned that she loves “all of Madonna basically is what I’m trying to say”.
“But definitely, I think ‘Borderline’ and ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ are probably my two favourite songs,” she continued.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps actress added, “I just love Madonna’s voice on ‘Papa Don’t Preach.’ There’s a lot of emotions in that song and I love that.”
Earlier in August, Julia also talked about challenging audition process for the biopic during an appearance on Smartless podcast.
“I kind of just wanted to see if I could do it, because I wasn’t a trained dancer and I had to learn how to dance and then dance in front of her and convince her that I can dance, basically, and sing. And sing with her!” she recalled of the audition process.
In a bid to prepare for the audition, Julia thought what Madonna would do here and that eventually gave her motivation to do it better.
