Channing Tatum makes shocking revelation
'The Vow' actor to star in 2026 'Avengers' sequel as Gambit
Channing Tatum has finally spoken about the time he went on a hiatus in 2017.
For nearly five years, Tatum kept himself away from the limelight and stopped featuring in lead films.
In a latest interview with Variety, the Step Up actor shared why he took a break and what was he thinking at the time.
Tatum confessed that he was working too much and felt the need to rest. "I was working too much. I got burned out”, he said.
Besides that, the 21 Jump Street star confessed that the phase made him question his acting talent.
He opened, "I was questioning if I ever should have been in this business, because I didn’t feel I was good enough.”
The 45-year-old continued, “And I got to a place where I didn’t know what I was doing. No one tells you how to do fame."
Channing marked an outstanding comeback as he appeared in back-to-back films namely The Lost City (2022), Blink Twice (2024) and Deadpool & Wolverine (2024).
At present, the American actor and producer is busy filming upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday, in which he will be reprising his role as Gambit.
