Netflix’s hit show Emily in Paris shoot has been stooped due to sudden on-set loss.
Lily Collins along with other castmates was filming the upcoming season in full swing in Venice as they all look forward for the series' December release.
But a tragic incident has delayed the filming.
Earlier today, La Repubblica reported that as the makers and the star cast was preparing to shoot the final scene of the show at the historic Hotel Danieli, Assistant Director Diego Borella collapsed in front of his colleagues on set.
The medics immediately appeared on the scene to take him to the hospital on Thursday August 21 but were unable to save his life.
Filming for season 5 of Emily in Paris was supposed to wrap in the next few days with shoot scheduled to take place from August 15 till August 25.
It has now been halted due to this tragic loss Diego.
Borella, 47, reportedly worked as a writer and was famous for publishing children’s stories and fairy tales. He was also a Venetian professional who trained in Lodon, New York and Rome.
Emily in Paris 5, which is set to release on December 18, will feature Collins as Emily Cooper, this time working as head of Agence Grateau in Rome.
